As a Synergy Wellness approved doctor, you will be responsible for consulting with patients who want access to the Synergy Wellness network. Before each online consultation, you will be granted access to the patient’s medical records, allowing you to review their history and tailor their treatment accordingly. Your role includes assessing the patient’s medical needs, obtaining informed medical consent, and providing professional guidance on appropriate treatment options.

If you are a doctor affiliated through one of Synergy Wellness' partner stores, you will primarily be consulting with that store’s patients. Your consultations will follow a similar process, including reviewing patient history, assessing medical needs, and ensuring informed consent. However, your patient base will be specific to the store you are associated with, and your responsibilities may align with that store’s operational framework.

To practice as a Medical Cannabis Healthcare Practitioner, you must hold a valid medical degree and be registered with the appropriate medical regulatory bodies in South Africa. Specific licensing and certification requirements may vary, and we recommend ensuring compliance with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the relevant prescribing guidelines for medical cannabis.

Yes, a valid practice number is required to prescribe medical cannabis in South Africa. This ensures compliance with medical and regulatory frameworks, including Section 21 prescriptions where applicable.

Currently, our medical cannabis training course is not yet accredited for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and is not officially recognized by the HPCSA. However, we are actively working towards obtaining these accreditations to enhance the credibility and professional value of the course. Once accreditation is secured, the course will be officially recognized, and participants who complete it will receive accredited CPD points.

We provide ongoing support, including access to a dedicated support team, educational resources, and updates on the latest medical cannabis research.

The onboarding process involves completing an application, verification of credentials, training on our platform and medical cannabis, and signing an agreement. We'll guide you through each step.
